Passphrase power (grades 3-5)

A ready-to-teach 40-minute lesson for grades 3-5: build a password that is easy to remember and hard to guess. Big idea: A long, silly, secret string of words protects your account better than a short word with tricky symbols. Use a different one for every account and share it only with a trusted adult. Includes a teacher lesson plan with scripts, student worksheets “Passphrase builder” and “Passphrase crossword”, an answer key, 10 scenario cards, a 8-slide outline and a family sheet in English and Spanish.

Tricks and traps online

Students learn the most common tricks they meet in games, videos and messages: free game currency offers, fake prize pop-ups, messages pretending to be a friend, requests for personal information and AI-made pictures that look real. They practice naming the red flag in each trick and choosing a safe move: pause, check with a trusted adult and use the real app or a known route.
