CoSN
GLET is CoSN's Georgia chapter. CoSN is the national professional association for K-12 education technology leaders and, since June 2026, leads the K-12 Cybersecurity Rubric that this program is built on.
About the program
K12 Cyber Forward is run by GLET, Georgia Leaders of Educational Technology, the official Georgia state chapter of CoSN. It brings Georgia's education technology community together around one practical goal: every district a little more resilient each year.
Who runs it
GLET, Georgia Leaders of Educational Technology, was formed in 2004 to help Georgia's K-12 school districts plan for and implement educational and administrative technology, and to advocate for improved student learning and administrative efficiency. It has been the official Georgia state chapter of CoSN, the Consortium for School Networking, since November 2006.
GLET's mission is to give Georgia's school technology leaders the training, resources and shared experiences that strengthen their work and their communities. Its members are the chief technology officers, technology directors and district IT leaders who keep Georgia's schools connected.
K12 Cyber Forward is GLET's own program. GLET designs and operates it, reviews every district request, runs the private portals and convenes the community around them. Learn more at theglet.org.
Who the program serves
Cyber resilience is shared work. Each leader brings something the plan needs.
Connections that strengthen the program
GLET is CoSN's Georgia chapter. CoSN is the national professional association for K-12 education technology leaders and, since June 2026, leads the K-12 Cybersecurity Rubric that this program is built on.
CyberCon GA is GLET's annual cybersecurity conference for Georgia's K-20 technology leaders, focused on elevating cybersecurity protections and preparedness. It is where much of the program's community learning happens in person.
The program is built for the realities of Georgia's public school districts, from small rural systems to large metro districts, and is shaped by the technology leaders who use it.
Georgia, connected
One state. One community of practice. Rural systems and metro districts face the same calendars, budgets and threats. K12 Cyber Forward connects Georgia's technology leaders so practical ideas travel from district to district.

What we stand for
Low ratings trigger help, not judgment. Individual district results are never ranked publicly.
Every rating comes with a next step someone can take this week.
Proof matters, so the portal does the heavy lifting and people review what is submitted.
Georgia districts learn from and lift each other. GLET convenes; peers teach.
Reviews are scoped and time-bounded, and nothing in the program is a coverage promise or a certification of controls.
By Georgia educators, for Georgia schools: local law, local partners, local wins.
Governance and data
The same standards we encourage districts to adopt apply to the program itself.
