  1. 1Why it matters

    Review the public trail

Check what strangers can see in your profile, location sharing, posts and connected apps. Remove unnecessary public details and unused connections. Before posting, consider whether the information reveals your school schedule or another person's private life. Practice checking an account's recovery and privacy options without putting real account details into a classroom exercise.

  2. 2Do this

    • PROFILEChoose a nickname

Skip your full name, birthday, school and address. Check what strangers can see.

    • LOCATIONCheck the clues

Review location sharing with an adult. Photos can show a uniform, street sign or schedule.

    • CHATKeep logins private

Never share your password or sign-in code, even if someone offers a reward.

    Try together
    • Who can message me?
    • Who sees my profile?
    • Is location off?

Already shared something? It's okay to ask for help. Stop chatting, don't send anything more and tell a trusted adult. Block and report together.

  3. 3Quick check

Why should you keep a one-time sign-in code private?
Someone threatens to expose private material. Which step helps?

Choose an answer for each question.
