  1. 1Why it matters

    Make classroom devices less revealing

Lock your screen when you step away. Close staff-only records before presenting or sharing a screen. Store sensitive work in approved locations rather than personal email or unmanaged storage. Do not ask students to send passwords or recovery codes. Report an accidental disclosure promptly; trying to quietly remove a link does not establish whether someone already accessed it.

  2. 2Do this

    • SCREENLock before leaving

Press your lock shortcut before you step away. Angle screens away from visitors.

    • PAPERCollect and contain

Collect printouts promptly. Keep sensitive papers out of view and in approved secure storage.

    • DESKLeave a clean surface

No passwords on sticky notes. Put away rosters, forms and devices before a meeting or break.

    Quick check
    • Screen locked?
    • Printouts collected?
    • Desk clear?

Found something exposed? Tell your school's reporting contact. Don't photograph or forward it. Reporting quickly is always the right call.

  3. 3Quick check

What is a useful step before presenting your screen?
Must a staff member prove an attack before reporting?

Choose an answer for each question.
